Invernahavon CC

I chose this site as a convenient stop-over near to the main A9 arterial road, but in fact it's a nice little site.  Despite being only half a mile away from the A9, there's no traffic noise.  Set against this, the half mile is along a narrow road down a quite steep slope, so I'd be a little concerned if the weather was bad.

There's a mixture of grass and hardstandings, with EHU available.  There's a toilet block, which feels a little dated/basic, but does the job (no shower curtains in cubicles...made it feel sparse).  The owner throws in wifi access within the site fee.

Nearby attractions...well if you could call it an attraction, Aviemore is a few miles north.

There's some forest walks adjacent to the site, leading to a lookout from a nearby hill (see picture).

There's a cycle-path parallel to the A9, and a mile south there's a waterfall which you will probably get to yourself (see picture).

Would we go back?  Probably, as a layover.
